Creative projects, layouts & practical planners
Try the layout before cutting material, packing a board or arranging a room. Keep measurements in consistent units and use a first draft to surface constraints.
A useful way through
1. Measure the real inputs
Write down stock size, kerf, enclosure dimensions or guest constraints before optimizing. A beautiful plan made from wrong dimensions is still wrong.
2. Explore alternatives
Compare a smaller material size, a different board or a different seating arrangement. Use percentage differences to describe waste or space clearly, keeping the same baseline.
3. Leave an execution margin
Allow for connectors, cut edges, seams and access. Print or export a working plan and check the first physical piece before repeating a large batch.
