Privacy & Local Data on apprun.icu
Understand local processing, browser storage, external data sources, hosting logs and optional push subscriptions, including how to remove your data.
Your tool input
The new text, conversion, design and cryptographic utilities process input in your browser. They do not upload it, save it automatically or include it in share URLs. File hashing reads the selected file locally. Download or copy work you want to retain before closing a tab.
Existing apps and local storage
Some reading, writing and planning apps store drafts, shelves, preferences and progress in browser storage. That storage belongs to this origin in this browser profile; it is not automatically synchronized to other devices. Export important work before clearing site data. Private browsing, device cleanup or storage pressure can remove it.
Offline pages
A service worker can cache public pages and first-party assets for offline use. It does not cache admin pages, private API responses, cross-origin requests or form input. Clearing offline downloads on the Install page removes those caches without deleting your reading lists or drafts. Browser “clear site data” can remove both.
Optional notifications
Only after you choose Enable notifications and grant browser permission do we store a push subscription: a delivery endpoint and encryption keys. It is not an email address or an account. It is used to deliver occasional site updates through your browser vendor’s push service. The endpoint is a sensitive delivery capability; subscription data is stored in a private server database. Disable notifications on the Install page to delete that subscription, or revoke site permission in your browser. Expired subscriptions are removed during delivery.
Network requests and hosting
Requesting the site necessarily exposes network information to its hosting and CDN providers; ordinary server and security logs can contain IP addresses, request paths, timestamps and user-agent information. The site does not add a behavioral analytics profile. Public book and news lookups use first-party proxies and public APIs. Store widgets and product links may request third-party content or take you to a third-party service.
Your choices
You can use public pages without notification permission or installation. You can disable notifications, clear offline downloads, export app data or clear site storage in your browser. For a privacy question, use the contact route on the author’s website. This page was updated on 11 October 2026.
