From loose seeds to labelled packets
- Count each lot and enter its common name, variety or honest description, harvest year and source notes.
- Set aside a reserve. The tool divides the remaining count into full packets of your chosen size.
- Inspect the loose remainder, export the packing CSV, then print cut-apart labels. Browser print settings and paper size determine the layout.
Check the example by hand
253 beans, a reserve of 40 and packets of 12 give 17 full packets, 9 loose seeds and 40 reserved seeds. The remainder is never silently added to the labels.
What belongs on a shared label?
The Seed Library Network calls out common name, variety or description and harvest year as minimum information. Unknown parentage, uncertain identity and untested germination belong in your notes. Check local sharing rules and invasive-species guidance yourself.
This app supports 60 lots and 2,000 total labels per project. It does not identify seeds, predict viability or certify varieties.

Processing, rights and freshness
Calculations and file processing run on this device. Input is not sent to an API or stored by this workspace. Exported files may contain what you entered; share them deliberately. Use data and recordings you have the right to use.
Methods and limits were reviewed for this release on 20 October 2026. No live prices, species databases, manufacturer compatibility data or commercial game lists need refreshing. Your source records and physical measurements remain your responsibility.
