How many books a daily habit really adds up to, and the questions readers ask most about keeping a shelf here.
A goal in books feels abstract until you turn it into pages per day. ReadPace-style paces vary, but at a typical 200 words per minute and about 300 words a page, the sums below are a realistic planning table for a 300-page book.
| Daily habit | Reading time | Books a year |
|---|---|---|
| 10 pages a day | ~15 min | ~12 books |
| 15 pages a day | ~22 min | ~18 books |
| 20 pages a day | ~30 min | ~24 books |
| 30 pages a day | ~45 min | ~37 books |
| 45 pages a day | ~1 h 10 | ~55 books |
| 60 pages a day | ~1 h 30 | ~73 books |
The goal ring above counts in the same direction: set the target, then let finished books and logged pages fill it in during the year.

Search for the title in the Add section — results come from Open Library with covers and page counts. You can also add any book manually with its title, author and page count.
Each year you set how many books (and optionally pages) you want to finish. Books you mark as finished and pages you log are counted automatically and shown as progress against the goal.
For finished books the full page count counts. For books you are currently reading, the current page you have reached counts, so your progress ring updates as you read. Listening to an audiobook? Convert the hours with the audiobook hours-to-pages converter and log those pages here.
